Emma was invited to submit a design for a restaurant at Waterlandplein. At the Waterlandplein residential development in the north of Amsterdam the high rise apartment towers are positioned close to each other. In the canyons between them a neighbourhood retail centre is located.

The square around which they are positioned is crossed by a green strip. The restaurant is put on the border of the green strip and the square. In the heart of the pavilion is a wind free patio. The buildings staircase shape provides access to the roof terrace. Inhabitants of the towers can see their neighbours at the terrace from their balconies.

This proposal made it to the final round, ending second.
