For a plot near the mayor entry roads to the town of Heerhugowaard emma was invited by the urban planners of Ale Hosper to complement their urban research with a chapter on architecture.
Emma researched the key success factors of the plot in relation to traffic, visibility, parking, economy and safety in relation to a large scale retail and leisure program. By defining the architectural ambitions of the urban scheme the bar was raised for developing partners to deliver high quality public space and create a representative entrance to the town. The proposal was presented to the city of Heerhugowaard and the commercial stakeholders of this site.
