In the heart of the historic centre of Amsterdam a former post office was renovated and extended. A private apartment was realised on the first floor. It needed thorough renovation and it lacked outdoor space.

In spite of the very strict zoning laws emma succeeded to alter the façade, and add a new balcony. The new façade is set back to realise a comfortable outdoors, which by fully folding away the glass becomes an extension of the apartments interiors.
